3. wrong career

Choosing your future job is an important step. This process requires a lot of information. Choosing a wrong career path because of a lack of guidance usually leads to stress. Many people focus on their first offer that was given to them after graduation without understanding the consequences. After some days at work, they start to understand that they could have gotten a better job, or they realize that they made a wrong decision. Choosing a career path becomes even harder when your friends and parents’ ideas confuse you more, thus taking a career decision becomes impossible.

There are different methods that you can use in order to effectively choose your career path. Follow these three simple steps: reflecting, exploring and planning.

1st Step – Reflecting

Before starting to plan your next move and to choose your career path, you should discover more about your interests, preferences, values, and abilities. The things you like and those that you don’t. You can start by answering the question below:

  • What are my interests?
  • What do I want to do after school?
  • What abilities do I have?
  • In which things I excel?

You can also do the career tests IVAP and Basic Check that are available at Busulla.COM. These tests help in self-recognition and identifying the most suitable occupations based on your responses.

2nd Step – Exploring occupations

The occupations world will constantly change. In order to plan your career, you will need to find more information about existing jobs that will be needed in the future. In order to get motivated, you can take a look at Busulla.COM where you can find the list of occupations with short descriptions about the required education, job activities, required skills, salary, etc.

3rd Step – Planning

Before making a list of occupations in which you see yourself, answer the following questions:

  • Can I start with this occupation right after graduation?
  • Can I do an internship?
  • Can I get any qualifications for this job?
  • Do I have to advance and better my trust and skills?

Make a backup plan!

Even if you have a clear idea of your career path, always have a backup plan because not always everything goes as planned.
